Who We Are
Fosterpreneur, a 501(c)(3), is the official non-profit of the Barely Canadian clothing line, a social enterprise company. Barely Canadian provides a give-back program to Foster Youth Organizations, along with training and hiring former and current foster youth, offering them opportunities for advocacy, advancement and upskilling to create their own forever home.
What We Do
Fosterpreneur offers programs that assist current and former foster kids to build their own brand and cultivate business and life skills.
With our "Create Your Own Brand" program, the youth create their own looks and concepts with the final design decorated on Barely Canadian products. These hoodies and t-shirts – now branded with our student’s design – are then posted on the Barely Canadian site for sale, with the profit from the sale going to the artist who created it.
In addition to our “Create Your Own Brand” program, we offer in-store entrepreneur training programs, which area held during Barely Canadian store hours, allowing current and former foster fellows to build their CV's by showcasing real world experience working a retail store.
